Nabil Anani is born in Latroun Palestine in 1943. He is one of the most prominent Palestinian artists today. Anani is considers among many as the founder of contemporary Palestinian Art Movement. Upon graduating in fine arts from the University of Alexandria, Egypt in 1969. Anani returned to his native country and began a fruitful career as an artist, teacher and trainer at the UN training College in Ramallah.
Nabil Anani is a talented artist for he is a painter, a ceramicist and a sculptor. He was awarded by Yasser Arafat the first Palestinian Prize for Visual Arts in 1997. He had participated in group and solo exhibitions in Palestine, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Russia, Jordan, Tunisia and several other countries.
