Imad Fakhry Lebanon, b. 1974

Imad Fakhry (b.1974, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon) comes from a family of artists. He studied at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) and received his Master’s degree from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Cergy-Paris and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. Under the guidance of French artist Yannick Guéguan, he pursued courses and workshops in decorative painting and trompe l’oeil.

Fakhry has participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Lebanon and abroad, including in Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In 2000, he received the ABN AMRO Bank Prize, and in 2007, he was nominated for the Young Creative Awards at UNESCO in Beirut. In 2008, he represented Lebanon at the Triennial of Rhodes with his etchings and engravings, and in 2016, he won the Dr. Chaouki Chamoun Prize.

Since 2003, Fakhry has taught drawing, sketching, etching, and trompe-l’oeil at ALBA.
