Issa Halloum (b.1968, Kuwait) graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts at the Lebanese University in 1993, before pursuing studies in Artistic Anatomy at the Brera Academy in Milan in 1999.
Inspired by nature, Halloum creates intricately textured landscapes with vivid colors and airy compositions across both painting and sculpture. Working from direct observation, he carefully studies movement and light to create visual experiences rooted in the present moment. His expressive palette reflects the influence of post-impressionist masters such as Cézanne and Gauguin, with energetic brushstrokes and simplified forms that give his works a tangible and immersive quality.
Whether depicting landscapes, market scenes, balcony views, or anonymous figures, Halloum captures fleeting moments while allowing his compositions to extend beyond the canvas, celebrating the abundance of nature through a sense of openness and aesthetic incompleteness.
Halloum has participated in several solo and collective exhibitions across the Middle East and internationally, notably in Lebanon, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Italy. His works are included in numerous regional and international private collections.
