Anas Homsi Germany - Syria, b. 1987

Anas Homsi (b.1987, Syria) is a painter and photographer currently based in Berlin. He graduated from Damascus University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts, specializing in Painting and Drawing, and subsequently became a member of the Syrian Plastic Artists’ Union. In 2017, he joined the Neues Atelierhaus Panzerhalle in Potsdam, followed in 2018 by the Brandenburgischer Verband Bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler e.V. In 2020, he earned a second BA in Design with a focus on Visual Communications from the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, Germany.

Homsi’s vibrant canvases are marked by energetic compositions, colorful palettes, and gestural brushstrokes that define his distinctive style. The seemingly human forms within his paintings come to life, conveying subtle emotional undertones.

Homsi has participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Lebanon, Singapore, Greece, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates. His works are included in private collections around the world.
