Reem Yassouf (b.1979, Damascus, Syria) holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Damascus University (2000) and a Master’s degree (DNSEP Art) from ESADHAR School in Rouen, France (2022).
As a visual artist, she explores personal and collective themes through painting, installations, and mixed techniques. Her practice often employs raw materials and natural colors related to the body, space, light, transparency, and the exploration of memory across time and place.
Since 2015, Yassouf has lived and worked in France. She has participated in and helped organize numerous workshops and cultural events in the Middle East and Europe, and was a founding member of the independent festival Khan Al Fnoun (2014–2016) in Jordan. Her work has been featured in publications including a UNESCO book project and a summer publication with the University of Oxford (2014).
Her works are part of collections including UNESCO, the World Bank (Washington DC), the Arab World Institute in Paris, Cultural Narratives, the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Atassi Foundation, and various private collections.
