Wissam Beydoun Lebanon, b. 1961

Wissam Beydoun (b.1961, Beirut, Lebanon) received his Bachelor of Art from the Lebanese American University (LAU), graduating with the Sheikh Zayed Award distinction.

Working with organic forms, Beydoun creates abstract landscapes that celebrate the majesty of mountains and the beauty of nature. His recent oeuvre focuses on his relationship with his hometown, experimenting with cartography to map Beirut through personal experience and document the emotions embedded within the city’s constant metamorphosis.

Beydoun has held several solo and collective exhibitions in Lebanon and France, and has participated in the Sursock Museum’s Salon d’Automne. His work is included in numerous private collections.
